Customer Review: Fake riedel glasses

I ordered 4 riedel sommelier riesling glasses--they arrived in 4 separate packages. When my husband opened them, we discovered that 3 of the glasses were fakes--although stamped with a removable riedel label, they were obviously not actually riedel glasses --they were a heavy glass with a thick stem. We own a collection of riedel glasses, and these were not anywhere near the quality of riedel. We plan to return them.
Description of Riedel Sommeliers Zinfandel/Riesling Grand Cru, Single Stem
The creme de la creme of luxury stems. The Riedel Sommeliers wine glass line is the top-of-the-line series of stemware from the legendary Riedel. Wine experts agree that glassware makes a profound difference on how wines taste. Riedel Sommeliers wine glasses are the benchmark and the most successful series of hand-made glasses in the world. Each Sommeliers wine glass is individually made of 24% lead crystal: the wine glass bowls are mouth-blown into a mould the stem and base are handcrafted using ancient glass-making methods. Recommend to hand wash. The Riesling grape variety produces some of the finest white wines in which high acidity is balanced with residual sugar. The wine also ages exceptionally well. In search of the shape that would best match this new style Stuart Pigott a British wine journalist specialising in Riesling put together a tasting of the finest 1990 vintages from Germany France and Austria. Riedel sent a selection of glasses for evaluation suspecting - correctly - that their Chianti Classico glass might prove ideal. This tasting was subsequently repeated in London Paris and New York raising awareness among wine writers of the new Riesling styles. The wines were presented exclusively in this glass which henceforth also goes under the name of the Sommeliers Riesling Grand Cru. Recommended for: Alsace Grand Cru Jurancon Sec Patrimonio Riesling (late harvest) Semillon Smaragd (late harvest dry) Teroldego Vouvray. Size: 8-7/8'H 13-3/8 oz. The classic design is understated enough for an after-work glass of wine and elegant enough to dress a holiday table. The glass is specifically shaped to balance the high acidity and sugars in white wines such as Riesling (late harvest), Zinfandel, Beaujolais Nouveau, Gewürztraminer, Vouvray, Chianti, and Bardolino.
